Top 5 Travel and Local Apps on Android in New Zealand: Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top travel and local apps on the Android platform in New Zealand showcased diverse performance metrics. The data, provided by Sensor Tower, highlights the trends in weekly downloads, active users, and revenue.

Air NZ by Air New Zealand saw a fluctuating pattern in downloads, starting with 4.1K at the beginning of the quarter and gradually declining to 2.1K by the end of December. Active users, however, experienced a positive trend, moving from around 118K to a peak of 127K by the quarter's conclusion.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel maintained steady download numbers, peaking at 2.1K in the week of December 23. Active users increased significantly from 55K to 84K, indicating growing engagement throughout the quarter.

NZTD downloads started at 1.7K and saw a decline towards mid-quarter, reaching a low of 0.9K, before slightly picking up to 1.3K at the end of December.

ParkMate (NZ) experienced a modest fluctuation in downloads, with a peak of 1.5K mid-quarter. Active users increased from 8.7K to a high of 12.2K, showing a positive trend in user engagement.

Instabridge: WiFi Hotspot Map downloads were relatively stable, peaking at 1.8K in late November. Active users showed a slight increase from 4.6K to 5.2K over the quarter.
